Chapter2 part2: Family tree

I had been having dreams about my "mother" for days. Trecey was a spiritual woman who wore her long blond hair down as long as it would grow, she never dressed in anything more than a loincloth in the summer, and was for a long time the only adult that I ever knew.
Her story had been told to my "siblings" and I several times. It went like this:
"Once when I was a much younger woman(she never looked a day older through out the years I knew though), and I had felt love, betrayal, fear, and anger. I had been with many men, had a couple children, each time it was the same...over time the love faded and my children were taken from me.
Some of them died some stolen by angry husbands, but in the end it was always the same, they were gone.", the strangest thing about the story was that when told it she never cried nor did she even have a look of sadness on her face, but us children always cried or felt sorry. It went on:" After it happened so many times I decided that it was inevitable, and that I would have to find another source of love.I began to wander about in search of life's meaning I couldn't find it anywhere. Then out of the blue I heard a noise, crying. It was Danny." she always said that looking at me with a smile on her face, "it was as if I had stumbled right onto the set of a very dramatic movie, there you were hungry and helpless, I could have left you there, but I knew that it was the doing of The Gods and I didn't have the heart to let you die. I started to raise you, but my heart was still unsatisfied it felt as if I was missing something. It was, my heart was missing all of you, I wouldn't be complete until I found each and everyone of you. I started looking everywhere I could imagine, and somehow there were just so many parents that were practically throwing their beautiful children away. All of you one by one, I found each of you everywhere I had ever wanted to go all of the countries and contents, everywhere I loved to be there was one of you waiting for me." by this time she usually had her eyes closed, one time I could have sworn that I saw a tear slip through.

Chapter2 part1: going home

what? Trecey? where are you? whats going on!?!

"THERE SHE IS!"
"Jesus Christ!", I said, waking up up to a bunch of big guys with guns hovering over me is never very pleasant.
"you're under arrest", said one of the biggest guys
"oh really?", I said raising an eyebrow, "whatever for?"
"GET HER!", one screamed as I jumped up kicking one of them in the face.
"whoops", I said laughing as I punched the screamer in the stomach
Bang, pow, yadda yadda...
"that was cheesy", I said brushing myself off, "as was that"
Marigold looked at me as if to say, " look at the mess you've made"
"whatever i'll pick'em up later. We should head for hiding, it's obviously not safe here", I knew that she understood me.
That was a weird dream though...
maybe I should go back check in on everybody, maybe that dream was some sort of a sign telling me that something was wrong there.
home.
"well lets go", I said picking up two guns and again feeling for the gems in my pocket.
I stepped forward and then fell ouch! oh yeah, open compound fracture (protruding bone, I guess i was so pumped on adrenaline that I forgot).
Marigold quickly came to me and nuzzled my face affectionately.
I have to go home.
"help me up", I said to her, I was getting to big and felt terrible for straining her back, but my leg hurt so badly that I thought of myself before anyone else(thats normal for me).
I climbed up her neck and onto her back
I pulled out the map that was folded several times to fit into my other pocket.
I'm going home to find my family, I thought, it was very ridiculous sounding.

Chapter1 part 2:Marigold

I scooted closer to Marigold, and started to pet her soft coat.
She had a slight gash on her right shoulder.
I remember the day I found her...

There I was at Birch Wood Zoo, it was where I always took a walk.
I enjoyed seeing all the miserable animals in cages that where smaller than a broom-closet, it made me feel powerful (which was one of my favorite feelings). I was eating an ice cream cone that I had stolen from a seven year old kid, I had told them, "You know if you eat that you'll probably die".
I watched a couple trucks move in some new animals...COOL!
I saw all sorts of new things that I had never heard of like: a mother and baby Ocelot, an Aye-aye (which actually wasn't as cute as I would have thought), Giant Panda, and the Okapi.
wow! there were so many
That Okapi is freaking awesome, I want it!
When I want something I always get it.
"hey", I said to one of the zoo keepers
"yeah, what do you want?", he said grumpily
"oh no sir you've got it all wrong I was speaking for my friend, uh...Bobby he really wanted to see the chimpanzee", I said gesturing to the innocent kid that I had previously robbed of his ice cream.
"oh", said the zoo keeper bending down to talk to the kid"well hello there Bobby"
"my name isn't--", he stopped in mid sentence,"SHE GOT YOUR KEYS!"
By that time I had grabbed the keys off his belt loop and was frantically trying to pry open the door of the Okapi"s cage.
THERE I DID IT!
I jumped on her back, and although I wasn't thinking that my plan would really work
she bolted in a random direction(which was fine for me, because I had nowhere to go).
after a while she got tired and stopped I was surprised that she hadn't flung me off her back.
We sat there for a second just staring into each others eyes.
"well, I got you out of that hell hole for good didn't I?", I asked her stupidly, waiting for her to answer me like in some fantasy world.
"what should I call you?", I asked crossing my finger still hoping that she was a magical okapi that could talk.
"something natural like: Daisy, Lilly, Palm Tree(laugh), willow, marigold..MARIGOLD! YES"
okay I think I might be making this part up, but I could have sworn that after I said "Marigold" she nodded her head in approval.
yep Marigold...

Chapter1:Marigold

The night was falling and Marigold, my okapi, was sound asleep.
The dead coals and embers that were once a fire, gleamed red and orange.
I lay on the ground without moving. Blood gushed out of the place where my bone was protruding from my leg.
I felt my pocket with my left hand which hadn't been as damaged.
Then I let out a sigh of relief.
They were all there.
I counted all four gemstones:
  • the first gem was a flame queen opal
  • the second gem was a Gachala emerald
  • the third gem was a Dresden green diamond
  • and the forth was the most beautiful Tanzanite in the entire world
I knew that the government wanted to kill me now(exaggerating?), so I didn't try to find a place to stay.
As long as I stayed in nowhere-land everything was safe, or so I thought.
